I had fun drawing this air plant. I love these plants and terrariums. I have been also enjoing working with black backgrounds, using chiaroscuro elements.

I am excited to be launching my new Pet Portrait digital service! I know so many dog and cat parents and how important our fur babies are to us. I love drawing pets. A pet portrait is a perfect keepsake to show off the love of you fur family member.

I am enjoying my Procreate art time. It is a much needed break from my work.

I have been doing the Making Art Everyday challenge with Bardot Brushes. Today is day 93 and I am very proud and a bit surprised that I have done 93 Procreate drawings based on the prompts!! I usually peter out of these things when I use my traditional media material. Maybe it is the ease (just a few swipes and you can undo something or that it just needs to be charged and it is ready to go). Whatever the reason, I am very happy that I am keeping up this practice.
This little planter is by my side in my work office – I stare at it often and imagine painting it. So, I knew that I would use this subject for today’s prompt “cactus”

You will find this piece here – if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me!

Been on the giving or receiving end of this cat greeting?

I am still doing the Bardot Brush – Making Art Everyday (MAE) challenge. I have been doing all of the prompts so far! I really want to learn more about how to use Procreate and this is the way to do it (for me). I am also excited about getting a subscription to SkillShare – I hope that I do not go down rabbit holes and start taking classes on too many topics!! Work and the Senate hearings are taking up much of my space right now.

I love the Barefoot Contessa – Ina Garten – kitchen god! Today’s prompt was “favorite dinner” and I was a bit stumped – I have so many favorites! We love to cook and eat at my home and I would have to say, hands down – Ina’s recipes are in heavy rotation! Some of my favorites – Chicken Piccata (my birthday request for many years now), Asian Salmon (the combo of Dijon mustard, garlic, soy sauce and Olive Oil is De-Vine!!), sagaponack corn pudding and The Italian Wedding soup are some that quickly come to mind.
I would love to attend one of her parties! We try to model that spirit when we have guests over (back in the day). Simple pleasures that convey love and appreciation.
