“I’d love to turn you on”

I worked on this pencil drawing yesterday. I’ve done drawings of switch plates and even have a “painting” where I attached switch plates to a canvas. I just love their simple design and this delights my minimalism spirit!

I also love connecting images to lyrics or song titles. This one comes from The Beatles – “A Day in the Life” – The line is likely a drug reference but I’d like to reclaim it as one wanting to please another. Lennon sings this so passionately.  Giving pleasure to others is the most supreme act one can do.

Next Adventure

ArtWalk 2016 is now a thing of the past. It was fun and I could see myself doing more art fairs in the future. Yes, I did sell some of my art and got lots of nice, encouraging feedback. I enjoyed hearing people reminisce about loved ones who sewed. I also discovered that there are many fellow button lovers out there! It was also great to have some of my dear friends visit my booth.

Now, I am going to focus on getting my Etsy shop up to speed. Today, I spent some time photographing some of my artwork on a wall in my home. As you can see, I had a lot of help with my kitty assistants. This is why I have to work in a studio!

Please checkout my Etsy shop  On the Wall by Amy –  if you like what you see, please favorite my shop!

ArtWalk 2016 – tomorrow!

I am doing the final touches to get ready for the ArtWalk festival in Livermore tomorrow! The weather will be sunny and warm. If you are in the area, please stop by my booth (near the Bankhead). It’s a fun festival – great art to see and buy, music and beer tasting! All of my favorite things.
