I spent a few hours in the studio this weekend working on these ArtAments. The left one is my tribute to Foothill Falcons Marching Band. The center one is a bit of nostalgia for those old bulb stringed lights. The right one is another snowman wearing their Marching Don’s spirit ware. I like his carefree expression. What’s got you feeling happy or joyous these days?

Holiday gifts
This ArtAment will be available for sale at Livermore ArtWalk – October 14. These cute mini canvases with original artwork are the perfect addition to your holiday decor. My favorite complementary colors are the purple and gold combo. It’s the most vibrant (in my opinion). I’ll keep you all posted on the different ArtAments that will be available for sale.
More original art ornaments
Here’s another ArtAment – this one honors the Livermore High Marching Band, the Cowboys. How lovely that their colors are so holiday festive too! I will be selling these and other designs at the ArtWalk – Saturday October 14 in Livermore.
New items!
For ArtWalk, I wanted to have artwork for sale that is affordable and original. I am happy to announce my Artaments! These are 3″ x 3″ acrylic canvases painted and priced with love! They make the perfect gift (to self and others) and will add some whimsy to your holiday decor!
My first one is an homage to the Marching Dons (Amador Valley High School). I am so proud to be part of this music community and cannot wait to see the full show this year. I am over the moon that the school colors are purple and gold – my favorite color combo! What a happy coincidence.
Banner is complete!
I ended up adding a pink button to finish up the banner and I am happy with this color. I loved getting the different color suggestions! It will be up on some outdoor banner holder in Downtown Livermore. I’m looking forward to seeing up and seeing what the other artists did on their banners.
Mine will be up for on-line auction soon and I will supply the link once it’s available. There’s also a chance to bid on it at the ArtWalk in October. The proceeds will go to Livermore Arts.
whistle while you work in progress
Was in a very warm art studio this morning. The little window unit could not keep up with these 113 degree days. I plugged away. It’s amazing how time goes by so effortlessly for me while I am painting, unlike a day in my office which seems to drag on and on.
I have decided to add one more button below the yellow one. What color do you suggest? Let me know in the comment section!
Work in progress
I am in the homestretch on this banner! Overall, I am happy with its progress. The light blue button was not working for me so I decided to work on that one today. I thought that I was adding an iridescent white to the party, but I actually added Interference Green. I am so pleased with this result. Yay, a happy mistake – my favorite! I have to finish up the neon orange and teal blue buttons and then decide if I need to add one more small one in the bottom left side (maybe a gray/silver colored one?).
