Amy’s mother kept a collection of buttons in a jar. As a child, Amy was always fascinated by these buttons and spent many hours sorting them by size, color, and personal preference. As an adult, she spent many hours perusing trimming stores in the NYC Garment Center and admiring the vast array of buttons, which seemed to come in every possible color and shape.
