I gave the new studio space a “test run” this morning. I found the thermostat (much needed on this hot morning), figured the lighting (switches are in the utility closet, now new art studio space), and somewhat got use to a children’s piano recital happening in the next room over. With all that, I was mostly pleased with the experience. I tripped or bumped into some of my stuff while I work (I move around a good deal). Still need to get the wifi password and find an electrical outlet near my space. I guess it’s all in time.
Livermore
Had fun at the LAA Spring Show
Last night, I attended the artist reception of the LAA Spring Show. I was so impressed with the quality of art on display! There were many beautiful paintings and 3D pieces. The jazz band topped it off! Fun night!

Moving on up…
I am mostly set up in my new art studio. We had to move out of the Downtown Studio space so that the city can develop on that prime location space. Now, I am in this multi-use facility called the Bothwell. I am hoping that I set it up for my best creative possibilities to emerge. Here’s to the possibilities!

Open Studio – tonight!
Please join me and my talented studio mates for our Open Studio Holiday art sale! I have my original paintings, prints, cards, magnets and pins for sale. Lots of unique and affordable gifts.
December 8th 6pm – 8pm.
62 S L St
Livermore, CA 94550
In addition, we will have a donation collection to aid the victims of the recent Ghost Ship fire in Oakland. We are devastated to know about the tragic fire and want to do our part to support the artist community.
ArtWalk 2016 – tomorrow!

I am very excited to announce that I will have my very first booth at the Art Walk in Livermore – Saturday, October 8th. Mark your calendars! If you are in the area, please stop by – I’d love to see you there!
Here’s a link for more information on the event. The tree sweater forest is a must see!
June Artist Work Night
I’ll be at the studio this Thursday – June 9th for Artist Work Night. I’m not sure what I will work on next. Of late, I have been drawn to musical themes – instruments and lyrics. I’m sure that I will keep going in this direction.
This is my travel pencil/pen box. It totally sums me up – playfulness is something I highly value. My daughter Emma added her touch to this box when she borrowed it for her own use (hello, orange pencil!). I love that it’s in there – a connection to her earlier days. There’s also a clarinet reed holder in there (not sure why). I still absolutely adore the Powerpuff Girls (Buttercup is my girl). It was fun to get reacquainted with this box when I used it at the Figure Drawing Marathon. Hope to bring more playfulness to my work!
This is an oil pastel painting that I did in 2009 “Clouds in my Coffee” – one of my lyric themes.
Buttons-on view at Panama Bay Coffe Co
I am thrilled to announce that my work is up! This has always been a goal of mine – to have my artwork displayed in a coffeehouse. It feels great to see this come together. It’s also pretty powerful to see them up on a wall.
If you are in the area – check the work out and enjoy a poured coffee at Panama Bay Panama Bay Coffee
