I had a fun evening meeting other Livermore based artists, listening to the music of the Kipptones and selling some of my art work. It was a beautiful evening!
My artwork is on the promo cards! Guess which one is mine?? Looking forward to the show in the beautiful Firehouse Arts Center/Harrington Gallery.
Here’s a few photos from my recent NY trip. It was wonderful to spend time with my family and do some brief sightseeing in NYC. I wish we could have stayed longer to have the chance to meet up with friends in the area. Next time!

I was just in the studio this Friday morning. It feels great to be home after 1 1/2 weeks in New York. We had an amazing time in Buffalo and NYC. It’s nice to have the day to do as I wish.
This safety pin is part of my “sewing” series and it was also part of my “what the fuck is happening to our County series?!” People were wearing safety pins to let others know that you are a safe being (to combat the increase in hate crimes since the election). Doing art, reading, and getting a good work out helps me deal with the ugliness in the world.

It was a fun afternoon at the Alameda County Fair – my daughter played bari sax at the horse race stadium with her middle school band. It was such a wonderful year of music at her middle school – I feel so fortunate that we are part of the music community.
Today was a perfectly beautiful day – not too hot! We headed over to the adult art area and found my painting on display. I don’t know if I will ever get use to this experience of seeing my art in some place other than my studio or home.
Overall, it was a beautiful day!
If you are in the area and want another reason to go to the Alameda County Fair, here it is! HPMS will perform around 1:45 on Sunday June 25. Weather looks perfect for that day – not as hot!
I have a painting in the Adult Art exhibit – it is fun to be part of this community event!

I had a fun day celebrating Father’s Day with my hubby and darling daughter. We also ran into a friend unexpectedly. This was not the first time that we’ve run into this friend in random parts of California!
We spent the day in Gold County on an excessively hot day. Either most of the cute antique shops did not have a/c or the a/c they had could not keep up with the 100 degree temps. With that, we still had a lovely day with hubby proclaiming that this was the “best” father’s day.
I want to do some more sewing themed art and was looking for some inspiration. This dress form was calling me…..
