I will be opening up my studio space at the Bothwell in June for the East Bay Open Studios. There will be a few other artists demonstrating their artwork process. Come see where the magic happens!
What are your art supply must haves? When do you prefer to work?
Happy creating!
Some examples of paintings that will be at the ArtWalk festival in Livermore – October 13
Prints will be available soon!
These paintings were inspired by a visit this summer to the Buffalo Botanical Garden. We were lucky to be there at the time when “Morty,” the corpse plant, was in bloom. He wasn’t that stinky when we visited.

I will have a booth at Art Walk again this year. Mark your calendars for this fun-filled day of art. I will be near the Bankhead. More info and details to come!

Having some fun in the studio this morning. I am working on this VW series. I do not have a personal relationship to these cars but always loved their look. Any good Bug or Bus stories to share?
I have not been posting here on my blog much. I have been busy and have been active on instagram. (Feel free to follow me there) I am still trying to figure out which venue is best suited to me. Here’s a few paintings that I have worked on lately:
As I see these all together, the common thread is how much I enjoy the various subjects. From that quirky Centennial Bulb to my nail polish addiction, it brings me joy to work on these paintings.
I will be making some prints from these paintings. Do you have a favorite painting from these? Let me know which one in the comment here or on Facebook.
I’m taking a portrait class (Drawing Faces – Make Art that Sells) and I am totally having fun. I am focusing on my favorite “four eyes.”
During elementary school, I was fairly obsessed by Elton John. His music spoke to me. It was always entertaining to see what outfits he was wearing. I still listen to a Spotify playlist of my favorite Elton John songs, mostly from this period.
During High School, I started my next obsessions – David Bowie and Elvis Costello, both of which still melt my heart, some 30-plus years later. I can say that I do not think more than a week goes by without me listening to their music. It is still so fresh and enjoyable and I am so stoked when my daughter admits to liking their songs.
So here’s my first drawing faces subjects – Elton and Elvis who definitely rocked those glasses! (I’m sure that I will include a Bowie in this class soon enough!)
Do you have a favorite Elton, Elvis or Bowie song or memory?
